Nut Free Nutella (gluten free nut free soy free)

Nut Free Nutella Chocolate Spread?!  Yep.  And it's is super creamy and with a rich chocolately flavor.  It's made from pumpkin seeds instead of hazel nuts to make it peanut free, tree nut free (no hazel nuts),
soy free, gluten free, dairy free and Vegan.
It's no secret that I'm in love with SuperSeedz gourmet pumpkin seeds.  I've searched for almost 6
years to find a safe pumpkin seed.  We're allergic to all tree nuts, peanuts and sunflower!  Talk
about a triple threat.  We cannot have any pre-made nut or seed butters either… until now.
Just recently, I made homemade pumpkin seed butter and now you can even make your own
Nut-Free "Nutella".

More on how to make this no-nut nutella in a bit.

Can we talk about what makes SuperSeedz so unique?  SuperSeedz are produced on
dedicated equipment without any peanuts, tree nuts or sunflower on site.  The are: gluten
free, egg free, dairy free, peanut free, tree nut free, fish free/shellfish free and soy free*.
Another thing to mention is how the company uses no GMO's or MSG, contains real organic
sugar and real vanilla.

I was so thankful for finally finding a safe pumpkin seed, I contacted the company directly.  They
were more than thrilled my family loved their seeds and that my search was over.  I mentioned
how I used their seeds in my Avocado Truffles and Strawberry Ice Cream Cake.  They offered
to send me all their flavors so I can tell you about them.
The Flavors:
Really Naked- the name says it all.  Just good old shelled pumpkin seeds.  Plain, but great for
snacking or a blank canvas for making homemade butter or snacks.

Sea Salt- probably my favorite.  A perfect amount of sea salt added to make these crunchy
seeds addicting.  These were the first seeds I found in the my local store.

Cinnamon & Sugar- think apple pie crumb topping.  The kids went crazy for these since they
have touch of organic sugar with a perfect combination of cinnamon and crunch.

Coco Joe- Chocolate + Coffee + Sugar= One Happy Momma.  I can't even tell you how
awesome these were!  I admit,  I've hidden the bag from the kids and claimed them as mine.  (I'll
still share them if they ask.) :D

Tomato Italiano- My son said it tasted like pizza.  I think that's pretty accurate.  Except,
these seeds don't have the grease or large amount of calories.  This is another favorite for snacking.

Curious Curry*- if you're a curry lover, these are perfect.  They have mild but noticiable curry
flavor with every bite.  Mr. Naughty has soy allergy so he didn't try these.  (A special note about
these: They contain soy sauce.  I spoke with Kathy the owner, and confirmed that the soy used
IS gluten free.  The equipment is scrubbed down in between batches.)

Somewhat Spicy- My older son refused to try these for fear of the unknown.  :-) But I think
he missed out.  I thought these had a great little kick of spice that quickly goes away in between
bites.  I don't like hot food but I liked these.

Super Spicy- Ok. The name is a little deceiving if you ask me. They are spicy but not "drink a
gallon" of water to put the flames out spicy.  I actually really liked them but ended up coughing
a few times from the spice.  (I'm sort of a wimp with spice, just so you know.)

All of the flavors are wonderful alone but could be used in so many recipes.  Think salads, a spicy
trail mix, granola etc.  Or do what I've been making- homemade pumpkin seed butter and this
nut-free Nutella.
This nut-free nutella is close to the real deal but so much healthier without the hydrogenated
oil and excess amounts of sugar.  But do you know the best reason this is better than Nutella?
It's is free of the Top 8 Food Allergens so everyone can enjoy.
This may sound over board but emotionally, these seeds have been one of our most important
food breakthroughs.  Food allergies are hard on children.  My son sits with 3 other kids at the
peanut free table, isolated from his friends and classmates.  All his friends eat peanut butter and
jelly sandwiches, like a typical kid.  Now, my son can eat a PumpkinseedB & J sandwich too.
He was excited he could eat "Nutella" for a snack like his "normal" non-nut allergy friends.
